Josh Shipp
Featured on MTV, CNN and most recently Inc. Magazine’s 30 under 30 list, Josh Shipp is a feverishly crazy youth speaker who excites, inspires and motivates teens. Mighty has designed and developed websites for Josh, and his media developers Dot&Cross, since 2007. We developed a website specifically for Grown-ups to access helpful videos, resources and forums, as well as a purchase Josh’s Identity program, which helps grown-ups communicate better with teens. The Grown-ups website was preceded by Hey Josh, a blog purposefully designed for youth in which Josh asks questions and provides advice in short videos, blog posts, polls and more.

Videos & Resources
Mighty developed a custom cookie-based user data capture system to build Josh’s database and provide access to all of the Grown-ups resources. We built the content management system using ExpressionEngine to give Dot&Cross easy control of content, which was released every few weeks.
We had some very tough things we were trying to pull off technically, specifically segmenting the user experience and content to 'registered' and 'new' users. Mighty pulled that off to a 't' - exactly as intended.

This project ended up better than expected and it is incredibly gratifying to see not only our somewhat vague aspirations become reality, but to discover strategic and technical additions that have us smiling ear to ear.

Identity Program
We developed a content management system to give Josh’s media team the ability to publish multiple versions of this sales page and use A/B testing to determine the best headlines, copy and content. We connected to a third-party ecommerce solution and skinned it to provide a consistent brand experience.
The process was seamless and we felt like we were their top priority. Incredibly quick turnaround made us feel like whatever challenges crept up, Mighty would be there to address and fix them... and they were.

Grown-up Blog
We created a blog for Josh’s team to post teen-related articles and information that could be easily accessed by grown-ups visiting the site. We integrated Facebook and Twitter to make sharing content easy for users.

Hey Josh Youth Blog
When Josh said “If I could, I’d draw an eagle taking a leak on a fire hydrant,” we knew we were in for some fun. We designed and developed an energetic and engaging blog for Josh to communicate to teens through. We worked with Auxiliary, who also designed the print and packaging materials. We built the blog using WordPress and integrated Twitter, YouTube and a few surprises.
The feature set built into HeyJosh.com is above expectation and really pushes the project to the next level. I have no idea how you made WordPress do what you did... but the results are way more than what we had expected.
